Kryptos

Kryptos perform Descension with Ganesh Krishnaswamy at Fandom, Koramangala. The show was organised by Spectral Decay for Kryptos’ 25th anniversary.

After we started Pushit, I told Angad about having a recording of Descension from Kryptos’ 25th anniversary show that I really wanted to put out, despite the shabby camera work and terrible audio. This was such a memorable gig for so many reasons, and it felt like such a loss to have that stuff just rotting on my hard drive at home. He looked at me and said, “MACHAAA, even I recorded that song, da!”

Mind you, we barely even knew each other back then, so there was no coordination or planning involved in making this happen. Then I thought I’d just push my luck, so I decided to check with Mrinal, who was on sound duties that night, to see if he happened to have recorded the set. Turns out he did!

So there you have it, folks! Three years later, but better late than never. A solid, memorable performance from one of the pioneers of the Bangalore metal scene, immortalised in video format with some decent audio for your viewing and listening pleasure.

Please go check it out and leave some nice comments for the boys! Also, big ups to the Spectral Decay guys for putting the whole thing together. This show was one for the books.

Shot by Pushit TV. Console mix by Mrinal M (Stained Class Productions).
